Seven more persons have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Ministry of Health says the persons were two elderly males, one elderly female, one middle age male and one middle age female with co-morbidities, as well as one elderly female and one young adult male without co-morbidities.
In its latest clinical update, the Ministry on Tuesday afternoon said this brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to one thousand, two hundred and forty-four (1244).
It said an additional one hundred and ninety-nine (199) persons have tested positive for COVID-19.
The Ministry said forty-three (43) persons have been discharged from public health facilities.
The Ministry also recorded a further two hundred and forty-three (243) recovered community cases.
