Teen remains hospitalised following stabbing incident in El Dorado

A 14-year-old student, of Phase Two, La Horquetta, was stabbed on Wednesday after he stepped in to defend a friend during a fight with students from anothers school.

Reports state that at around 2.45 pm, at Govia Street, El Dorado, the Form Four student of El Dorado East Secondary was with friends from his school when they were approached by a group of students from the Five Rivers Secondary School, some who were dressed in school uniform.

The report said the group had come to beat-up one of the victim’s friends, and upon seeing what was happening he intervened in the fight.

During the altercation, the victim was stabbed in the left upper back and left upper arm.

The police was notified and the teen was rushed to the Accident and Emergency Department, Wendy Fitzwilliam Paediatric Hospital, in Mt Hope, where he remains warded.
