An accident took place along the west bound lane of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway this afternoon.
The incident took place just after the Aranguez Overpass and traffic was reportedly backed up to Valpark.
The accident involved a Nissan Tiida and a panel van.
Reports state the five occupants of the Tiida were taken to hospital with some sustaining life-threatening injuries.
Police report that the Tiida was travelling west when it lost control and hit the van.
Both vehicles ended up on its hoods.
The injured have yet to be identified.
