Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting of a man at City Gate, Port of Spain on Friday night.
Around 8:55pm, officers of the Central Police Station responded to a report of a shooting at the City Gate terminal and on arrival, found a man bleeding from gunshot wounds.
Witnesses told police that the victim was shot during an altercation with another man.
Police later detained the suspect – a holder of a firearm user’s licence.
The wounded man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
