Supply Disruption To Customers Served By North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant

From 10pm Saturday to midnight Sunday March 10th there will be an interruption in  water supply for customers in parts of North East Trinidad, served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant.

WASA says this has become necessary in order to facilitate repairs to a leak on the 42 inch diameter transmission pipeline, located West of the Cumuto Traffic Lights, Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Cumuto.

Areas affected include:

Sangre Grande (Town), Sangre Chiquito, Manzanilla, Coalmine, Guaico/Guaico Tamana, Malabar Phases 1,3 & 4,
Tumpuna Road, San Rafael, Brazil, La Horquetta, Carapo/O’Meara Road, Signature Park/Mausica Road, Maloney Gardens, Five Rivers, Millennium Park, Sunrise Park, Golden Grove Road.

Customers are further advised it may take up to forty-eight hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with established water supply schedules, following the completion of these repairs.

A limited truck borne service will be available upon request.
