Maintenance Works To Take M.V. Cabo Star Out Of Service In June

From June 5th to June 16th, the inter-island cargo vessel – M.V. Cabo Star will be taken out of service to undergo planned maintenance works, alongside the harbour in Port of Spain.

The vessel is expected to resume normal operations on June 17th, 2023.

The Trinidad and Tobago Inter-island Transportation Company Limited says during the period of the Cabo Star’s absence from service, the following measures will be effected to ensure the cargo requirements are facilitated:

Additional sailings of the Cabo Star are scheduled on Saturday 3rd June and Saturday 17th June, 2023 at the following times: Depart from POS – 1.00 PM & Depart from Scarborough – 10.00 PM

During the two weeks of the works, vehicles up to 7,000kgs will be accommodated on the Buccoo Reef & A.P.T. James.

Overloaded vehicles and other vehicles with extensions will not be allowed on the Buccoo Reef & A.P.T. James.

During the absence of the vessel, priority will be given for the transport of food items.

Vehicles without an accompanying driver will not be allowed on the passenger vessels (Buccoo Reef, A.P.T. James & Galleons Passage).

At the Port of Spain Ferry Terminal, trucks and other vehicles will be required to park within the terminal yard to access the vessel(s).

All ticketing and check-in processes will be facilitated inside the Port of Spain ferry terminal building.

At the Port of Scarborough, all systems will remain as is.
