Southern mas vet Lionel Jagessar has died

Lionel Jagessar Snr. a pioneer of mas in the Southland has died.

Jagessar who was well known for his Indian Mas and was later awarded a national award (Hummingbird Silver), died Saturday afternoon at his Gransaul Street, San Fernando home.

Reports are that his health had deteriorated over the past few days.

Jagessar’s mas camp was also open for tours as he taught the art of wire bending and costume design.
