Labour Minister Stephen Mc Clatchie says that the COVID pandemic has shone a light and revealed that several of the country’s labour laws are outdated and need to be revamped.
These he said included the Industrial Relations Act and the Retrenchment and Severance Benefits Act among others.
Speaking with Power 102 Digital yesterday, he also noted that with the country facing a third wave of COVID cases, work is ongoing in developing a viable work from home policy.
He called for patience from the public as he emphasized that the change will take time however as it requires agreement and proper consultation.
