In the next two months, operators of small businesses will be informed by the Minister of Finance of Government’s fifty million dollars facility which will play a key role in supporting registered companies during this Covid-19 pandemic period.
This update was indicated by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee Scoon, in the House of Representatives Friday afternoon.
Minister Gopee Scoon said there are sixteen thousand, five hundred and forty-seven registered small businesses according to information from the Central Statistical Office.
The Trade Minister said the government is prepared to do its part to provide some level of financial cushion in these challenging times and in the future the Minister of Finance will give to the nation more details on this subject.
