Seventy Officers In The TTPS Suspected To be Involved In Corruption.

There are about seventy officers in the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service suspected to be involved in corruption.

This disclosure comes from Acting Police Commissioner, Gary Griffith, while speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital Tuesday.

Mr Griffith said the TTPS is determined to maintain the momentum gained by the service in restoring public trust and confidence.

Mr Griffith said the TTPS is also focused on ensuring there is transparency and accountability.

Mr Griffith also explained the reasoning behind the setting up of a tribunal in the TTPS which is reviewing various situations pertaining to officers who are suspension.

However, Mr Griffith admitted there has been some resistance from the move.
