Service disruption for parts of Diego Martin on Wednesday; upgrade work at Sierra Leone Booster

There will be an interruption in the pipe borne water supply for several parts of Diego Martin on Wednesday.

This has become necessary as the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is expected to carry out upgrade work at the Sierra Leone Booster Pumping Station in Diego Martin.

The service disruption will be between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

WASA says a limited truck-borne water service will be available, with priority given to special homes, as well as health care and educational institutions.

Customers are reminded that following the resumption of operations of the plant, it may take up to 12 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas.

Areas to be affected include:

● St Lucien Road, from KFC to Gopaul Street, inclusive of all side streets

● Morne Coco Road, from Sierra Leone Road to Cassia Drive, inclusive of all side streets

For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420 or 800-4426.
