TTPS To Actively Address Domestic Violence Reports, Regardless Of Victims’ Gender

Reports of domestic violence involving male victims continue to be treated exactly the same way as reports of female victims.

Sergeant Larry David of the Specials Victims’ Department said it understands the public dialogue that male survivors of domestic violence are reluctant to report these matters of domestic violence to the TTPS for fear of embarrassment or inaction.

However, speaking at a news briefing on Thursday, Sergeant David said the TTPS is professional trained to carry out the mandate of treating effectively with all victims of domestic violence, sexual crimes and crimes against children regardless of them being male or female.
