Police are searching for five men who attacked and killed one man, and wounded two others, near a Caroni primary school on Monday morning.
The five men were reportedly in two silver Toyota Hilux SUVs, when they drove through a dirt track to get to a piece of land behind the Munroe Road Hindu Primary School at around 10.30 am.
One of the SUVs hit a 34-year-old man, while the occupants of the other SUV came out and chopped a 38-year-old man on his left wrist.
A third man, identified as Ronnie Pierre, was shot and killed in the attack.
The dead man collapsed near the school, forcing the premature end to classes for the day.
Teachers and parents described the incident as frightening and shocking.
