Tobago’s Division of Education, Research and Technology (DERTech) has advised that the Scarborough Secondary School and the Lambeau Anglican Primary School will reopen today.
DERTech, via a release on Tuesday, noted that the schools would reopen after a brief closure necessitated by poor air quality from the recent oil spill.
The Division noted that comprehensive measures including thorough air quality testing and facility inspections were implemented to guarantee that the schools meet and exceed the recommended safety standards.
It said further as operations return to normal, it remains committed to providing ongoing support for students and families who may have been impacted by the closure.
DERTech also thanked the authorities in Tobago including the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) for their swift assistance during the tragedy.
