A 42-year-old vendor who sells near the Sangre Grande Market, was stabbed and killed during an altercation with another man on Monday afternoon.
Dead is Keron Thomas aka “Moosai,” of Sangre Grande.
According to a police report around 12:30 pm on Monday, a fight ensued between the deceased and another man at the front of the vendor’s stall, which is located opposite the Sangre Grande Market on Cunapo Southern Main Road.
The man left and returned a short while after when he attacked Thomas stabbing him. Thomas was placed in a private car and his assailant followed the car stabbing the deceased on his chest before he made his escape.
Thomas was pronounced dead on arrival at the Sangre Grande Hospital after he was stabbed on the left side of his chest by his assailant.
Police have obtained CCTV footage which is assisting them in their investigation. An arrest is imminent.
