A High Court judge is expected to deliver his ruling today on an application to postpone the PNM’s internal election for 21 days.
Political leader candidate, Karen Nunez-Tesheira, and two members of her slate, challenged changes to the party’s electoral process.
In their lawsuit, Nunez-Tesheira, Dr Kenneth Butcher and Bishop Victor Phillip – claimed the party’s central executive breached the party’s constitution by deciding the election should be contested on three separate days over a nine-day period instead of on one day.
Justice Devindra Rampersad is expected to give his decision at 3 pm today.
