The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has discontinued its Riverine Flood Alert – Green Level for the Caroni River Basin and its tributaries.
In an update on Saturday, the Met Office said the Caroni river is contained and has been on a downward trend and no significant periods of rainfall are expected over the next 36 hours, so the levels of the Caroni river and its tributaries are expected to continue falling.
Citizens are urged to monitor weather conditions and official updates.
