Repatriation Committee Pledges To Carry Out Work In Responsible, Professional Manner

Chairman of the Repatriation Committee, Nizam Mohammed, is assuring the nation the group will go about its works in a responsible and professional manner.

The government is seeking to repatriate citizens who are stranded in refugee camps in northern Syria.

Media reports say there are 90 nationals currently camped in tents in northeast Syria.

The Human Rights Watch says out of the 90 nationals, 56 are children and 21 are women.

Speaking at the opening of the Repatriation Committee South office in San Fernando, Head of the Repatriation Committee, Nizam Mohammed, said the work of the group will be carried out in a focused way and adhering to protocol.
