Reasons Given For Cal’s Resumption Of Flights to Caracas, Venezuela

Request from the business community is one of the reasons given by the government for the decision taken by Caribbean Airlines to resume flights to Caracas, Venezuela.

Cal said initially, the flights will operate every Saturday with increased frequency expected later on.

Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Brian Manning, outlined the various factors which influenced the government’s decision to resume flights to Venezuela.

He said the decision to recommence service to Caracas was based upon research and analyse of historical routes and network level, the changing aviation environment and socio and economic position of Venezuela.

Mr Manning gave the response after being asked a question on the matter by the Member of Parliament for Oropouche East in the House of Representatives Friday.
