PSA holds strong and rejects CPO’s 4% offer

The Public Services Association is resolute and unswerving and it has rejected the Chief Personnel Officer’s four per cent offer for the period 2014 to 2019.

Reports are that 73 percent of the General Council voted to continue rejecting the offer while 23 per cent voted against.

They are the only ones to refuse the wage increase.
At the start of this month, the Fire Service Association followed the Police Social Welfare Association and the T&T Unified Teachers Association in accepting the four per cent offer.

Hearings in the matter between the CPO and the PSA at the Special Tribunal began on May 25th.

The Ministry of Finance’s Permanent Secretary, Suzette Taylor Lee Chin was scheduled to take the stand for a second time last week but couldn’t do so for personal reasons.
