A prison officer was shot in the face while driving with a minor in his car early this morning.
Forty-one year old Aveston De Roche of Morvant was driving with a young woman and a 9-year old boy, said to be his son, in the Morvant area around 5:30am when someone opened fire as he drove.
De Roche was shot in the right jaw and his condition is listed as stable.
The young woman and the child were unharmed.
