A man identified as Aaron Auguste, aka “Polo” was shot at St. John’s Street in Tunapuna on Thursday night.
Police said the 30-year-old man was walking on Tunapuna Road near St John’s Street, at around 7 pm, when he was confronted by two gunmen who shot him several times in his head, stomach and leg before running away.
Residents heard the gunshots and called the police, who rushed the bleeding man to hospital.
Auguste is said to be in a critical and unstable condition.
Crime scene investigators visited the scene and found 11 spent shells.
