1 dead, 2 injured in early morning Freeport accident

An early morning accident in Freeport has claimed the life of a 55-year-old insurance agent and left two others nursing injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Judith Farrel-David of Zircon Avenue, Union Hall, San Fernando.

Around 2:10am, Farrel-David and passenger, 50-year-old Janice Duff-Scott were driving south along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, Freeeport when a Toyota Hilux crossed the median and crashed into their vehicle.

The Toyota Hilux was driven by Jamal Butler who resides at Longdenville/Moruga.

The impact caused Farrel-David’s vehicle to collide with a light pole, killing her instantly.

The driver of the Toyota Hilux and Duff-Scott sustained injuries and were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for medical treatment.
