British Police swooped down on a home after neighbours reported a ‘screaming woman’ but were surprised at what they found.
Three police cars were dispatched to the property in Essex after reports of a screaming woman but it turned out to be Freddie, a yellow-naped Amazon parrot.
The parrot’s owner, 54 year old Steve Wood, said he was stunned when the police knocked at his door and added he felt a wave of panic.
The bird keeper, a retired policeman, assured the officers that the noises were coming from his three-year-old pet.
Wood, who keeps 22 parrots, recorded a video of the aftermath, with two of the officers seen laughing as they hear the parrot’s “screams”.
