Police capture one of the escaped Golden Grove inmates

Police say that they captured one of the inmates who escaped from Golden Grove last night.

According to police reports, around 10:30 pm, on Sunday several units responded to a report of a prison break at Golden Grove Prison, Arouca.

They included Air Support Mobile, North Central Task Force, Northern Division Task Force, Northern Division ERP and North Central ERP.

Police conducted several searches in the surrounding areas which led to the recapture of one escapee at Trincity Boulevard in the vicinity of Dinsley Government School.

The recaptured prisoner was arrested and taken to the Arouca Police Station.

A man hunt is currently underway in an effort to locate the other four escaped prisoners who have been identified as:

Twenty nine-year-old ANTHONY SEEPERSAD, aka RAJESH/RAKESH SANDOOKEE, whose last known address is Penco Street, Chaguanas. He had been charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.

Twenty-six-year-old KURIEN DOUGLAS, whose last known address is Woodbrook. He had been charged with the offences of robbery with violence.

Thirty-year-old SHAQUILLE DRAYTON aka JABARI WILLIAMS, whose last known address is Bayshore, Marabella and Logie Street, Siparia. He had been charged for the offence of assault.

Twenty-four-year-old THEON THOMAS, whose last known address is Ramdeen Trace, Rock Road, Penal. He had been charged with house breaking and larceny.
