Police believe they have found the vehicle used in the kidnapping of business woman Anesha Narine-Boodhoo.

As the spate of crime continued in the last days of 2023, across the country, police have made a breakthrough in the kidnapping of El Socorro businesswo­man Anesha Narine-Boodhoo. Police believe they have found the vehicle used in the kidnapping of Narine-Boodhoo.

The vehicle found if of the same make and model used to kidnap Narine-Boodhoo (a Toyota Rush). It was found burnt and abandoned in Caroni yesterday morning. The investigators believe the Toyota Rush SUV had been burnt, by suspects as they attempted to destroy evidence, however it will still be examined by crime scene investigators. The vehicle was found by offi­cers of the Northern Division Task Force in a bushy area off the Caroni North Bank Road, Centeno.

The TTPS confirmed yesterday that they have widened the search for the mother of two who was ta­ken by three men on Friday. The business woman was kidnapped on Friday morning along Girez Lane, El Socorro. Police said yesterday they had expanded their searches for Narine-­Boodhoo in the Caroni district following the discovery of the vehicle.

Up to last evening, Narine-Boodhoo had not been found.
