Police Arrest Chaguanas Man, Seize Large Quantity of Alcohol

An intelligence-led exercise conducted in Chaguanas by Northern Division officers on Friday, June 30th, resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of alcohol allegedly intended for sale and the arrest of a 65-year-old Chaguanas man. 

According to a police report, officers executed a search warrant at a business establishment in Enterprise, Chaguanas in relation to a larceny investigation. While there, they also allegedly found a large quantity of beer, wine, and rum. The individual mentioned on the warrant was interviewed and it was discovered he did not have the required license to sell the liquor in his possession.

The items were checked and seized, and he was arrested for Selling Alcohol without a License Contrary to the Liquor License Act. Further enquiries are expected to be conducted and charges laid in relation to the offence.  

The exercise, which was conducted between the hours of 4 pm and 7 pm was spearheaded by ACP Subero, Snr Supt Francis, and Supt  Revanales.
