Address the low water pressure situation and insufficient fire hydrants in Bamboo Number Two.
This plea comes from St Augustine Member of Parliament, Khadijah Ameen, to the Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonzales.
It comes on the heels of the recent fires which destroyed several businesses in the community on Monday.
In a media release on Wednesday, MP Ameen said she has been advised the Fire Services has made numerous requests to WASA over the years before she became the MP for St. Augustine; however, the requests have been to no avail.
MP Ameen said the absence of fire hydrants, the low water pressure, renewal of leases for land and change of land use from Agricultural to Residential and Commercial use were also raised by the residents during a visit she held with them on Tuesday afternoon.
