The Prime Minister is maintaining his confidence in the government’s nominee for President, Christine Kangaloo.
Dr Keith Rowley responded to several claims from the Opposition United National Congress as to why Ms Kangaloo should not be considered for the post.
Speaking at a news briefing Monday afternoon, Dr Rowley said the PNM has a sound track record in terms of its selection of persons to hold key position in the public domain.
Dr Rowley also commented on the UNC’s nominee for President , Israel Khan, citing his political involvement in various parties.
However, Dr Rowley said the PNM will remain focused and professional in how the process is conducted.
