PM Rowley: Making Agriculture Attractive To Young People Part Of Gov’t’s Food Security Strategy

Lucrative, ensuring food security and getting young people more involved in agriculture, this is the approach the government is adopting as it seeks to ensure food security locally.

This position was outlined by Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, while speaking at the Agri Forum Expo held at the National Academy For the Performing Arts in Port of Spain on Friday.

Dr Rowley said the aim is make agriculture attractive for young people to be a part of; focus is being placed in this area by the government and support is critical moving forward.

The Prime Minister said achieving self-sufficiency is critical in the future.
