Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, is calling on members of the religious community to hold fast to the principles they observe.
Dr Rowley made the appeal while speaking at the 75th anniversary of the Mason Hall Seventh Day Church over the weekend.
Dr Rowley said the country needs the church to do its part to help in the transformation of the nation.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, Farley Augustine, noted the importance of the church having a positive impact in communities and the population.
