The Oilfields Workers Trade Union warns any rise in the cost of fuel will have serious implications for citizens and other areas of the economy.
President General of the OWTU, Ancel Roget, made the comment while speaking at a news briefing held at Paramount Building, Circular Road, San Fernando today.
The trade union leader cited the different aspects of national life which will be impacted by the move.
The senior OWTU official urged the government to hold off on any plans to increase the cost of fuel.
