A pistol and quantities of ammunition, marijuana and items believed to have been stolen were discovered by officers of the North Eastern Division, during an Operation Strike Back exercise, conducted in the El Socorro and San Juan districts, Wednesday.
The exercise, included officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force and the Canine Unit; it occured between 1:30 pm and 6 pm.
During the exercise, officers conducted a search of an abandoned vehicle which was parked along Jhinkoo Lane, El Socorro, where one Glock pistol loaded with a magazine containing two rounds of ammunition was discovered.
Investigations are on-going.
The officers then proceeded to Sunshine Avenue, San Juan, where they seized forty-six packets of marijuana.
A search of a nearby abandoned building also resulted in officers finding a quantity of stolen items, including three vehicle batteries, one generator and a quantity of engine oil.
