One firearm was found by officers of the Tobago Division during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Mt. Pleasant district last night.
Members of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT), acting on information, proceeded to Mt. Pleasant Road, around 10pm, on Thursday 28th January, 2021, where they observed a man standing along the roadway. Upon seeing the officers, the man ran off.
A search was conducted in the area where the man was seen standing which resulted in an unloaded gun being discovered.
Investigations are ongoing.
