33-year-old Christopher Pereira was charged with eight counts of buggery and one count of serious indecency. The victim is a 21-year-old man. He was granted $75,000 surety bail and ordered to have no contact with the victim, to stay 100 metres away and to report to the Chaguanas Police Station on Mondays and Thursdays between 6 am and 8pm.
