Parliament Debates Motion To Approve Appointments To The Police Service Commission

The House of Representatives is at this time discussing the Motion to Approve Appointments to the Police Service Commission.

The PSC nominees are retired Justice of Appeal, Judith Jones, Maxine Attong, Ian Kevin Ramdhanie, Maxine King who is specialized in the area of finance and management and Attorney at Law and a former Vice President of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago, Rajiv Persad.

In leading off the motion, Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, thanked the various nominees for indicating their willingness to serve in public life especially at a time when persons are reluctant to offer themselves to function in the public domain.

Dr Rowley also outlined the qualifications of the PSC nominees and expressed confidence they will bring the quality of their qualification and their experience to bear on any and all issues concerning the Police Service Commission.
