Paria Diving Tragedy Report Sent To DPP

The report on the Commission of Enquiry into the Paria diving tragedy is sent to the Director of Public Prosecution.

It was laid in the parliament on Friday.

The update was given by the Minister of Energy, Stuart Young, who was at the time responding to an urgent question from Naparima Member of Parliament, Rodney Charles.

Last year, February, four divers died during routine maintenance works on Paria pipeline at Berth No.6 at the Pointe-a-Pierre harbour.

One diver survived the ordeal.

The report was also presented to the President last year November.
