Contigency Measures In Place For Increased Covid-19 Cases

There are several contingency measures in place to address the increase in Covid-19 cases.

They include a fully commissioned staff and operational in-patient hospital capacity of 272 beds, of which 13, less than five percent, are currently occupied at three hospitals across Trinidad.

Infection prevention control protocols are active and practised.

There is more than an adequate supply of protective personnel equipment for health care workers.

These measures were revealed by the Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, during the question and answer period in the parliament on Friday.
