Officers attached to the Southern Division Task Force arrested a 25-year-old man after they seized a large quantity of marijuana during an anti-crime exercise on Thursday 8th December, 2022.
At around 9:50 pm yesterday whilst conducting a mobile patrol along Bellevue Industrial Estate, Mayaro, officers acted on intelligence and intercepted a motor vehicle driven by a man from Champ Fleurs. During the search of the vehicle the officers found two crocus bags containing 39 kilograms of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $1,115,400.
The officers seized the illegal narcotics and the man was arrested.
