The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services is in contact with all the Disaster Management Units of the various Regional Corporations and at this time no request has been made for assistance to help persons affected by Tuesday’s flash flooding in certain parts of the country.
Answering a question on behalf of the Line Minister, Leader of Government Business in the House of Representatives, Camille Robinson Regis, said the ministry is ready to help anyone affected by the bad weather once a request is made.
Mrs Robinson Regis also gave a breakdown of the various financial grants available to help persons in need of help and there is process which must be followed.
