Intervention Measures Taken Following Mass Shooting At Harpe Place and Cocorite

Social and psychological support to relatives, police officers and other affected persons, have taken place in the aftermath of the mass shooting incidents which occurred at Harpe Place and Cocorite between March 17th to April 20th this year.

Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, indicated this during the question and answer period in the Senate on Tuesday.

He was at the time responding to a question posed to him on the matter by Senator Professor Gerard Hutchinson.

The nature of the support included visits to families, grief counselling sessions were held and measures to address the immediate needs of community members.
