A 43-year-old man was denied bail after appearing before a Siparia Magistrate for two counts of sexual touching and sexual penetration of his nieces on June 14th 2021.
On March 4th, two mothers appeared at the Penal Police Station in company with their daughters to report that a man known to them allegedly sexually touched the girls. They also told police that he had sexual intercourse with the girls on different dates.
On June 12th, the suspect was arrested and subsequently charged on June 13th. The matter has been postponed to July 14th by Magistrate Andrew Stroude.
The accused must provide a place of address other than his current one, before bail can be considered.
The investigation was spearheaded by W/Supt (Ag.) Claire GuyAlleyne, Insp (Ag.), Knutt and W/ Sgt (Ag.) Charles and conducted by Cpl (Ag.), Callender.
