Nine persons have died because of COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
This brings the number of persons who have died from the virus locally to one thousand, three hundred and eleven.
In its latest clinical update Thursday afternoon, the Ministry said the persons were one elderly male, two elderly females, three middle aged males and two middle aged females with co-morbidities, as well as one elderly male without co-morbidities.
The Ministry said one hundred and four additional persons have tested positive for COVID-19.
Twenty –nine persons have been discharged from public health facilities.
It said there have been two hundred and thirty-nine recovered community cases.
At present there are two hundred and sixty-four persons at hospital with the virus.
In terms of persons in home self-isolation the figure stands at three thousand, five hundred and eighty-eight.
There are one hundred and thirty-four patients at state quarantine facilities.
Ninety-four patients are in step down facilities.
To date thirty-nine thousand, seven hundred patients have recovered from the virus in Trinidad and Tobago.
