NCRHA administered over 22,000 influenza vaccines

The North Central Regional Health Authority says the NCRHA has administered over twenty-two thousand 22,000 influenza vaccines between September 2020  to January 2021.

Facilitated by its Nursing and Primary Health Care Services, the NCRHA says it has targeted multiple stakeholders within the various communities, collaborating with churches; mosques; temples; business, regional and state enterprises.

CEO of the NCRHA, Davlin Thomas, says it is using innovative ways of delivering public health care, especially in light of the COVID-19 climate and is pleased with the efforts and commitment of its team of specialists that have taken up the mantle at this time.

The Authority says it was able to not only raise awareness among members of the public on the importance of getting vaccinated; the NCRHA was also able to ensure a large percentage of the populace within the region had access to vaccines.

Immunizations were conducted in safe environments throughout the region and all COVID-19 protocols, as it relates to social distancing, sanitization and other regulations were strictly observed.
