Murder in Princes Town – Police officer’s son shot dead

Twenty-one year old Damion Blackwell was shot and killed at his Princes Town home on Monday night.

Around 9pm, Blackwell, who is the son of a police officer, was reportedly washing his Nissan Almera motorcar outside his Sixth Company, Circular Road, home when he suddenly ran inside his house.

The hunt is now on for a man who shot and killed a police officer’s son at his Princes Town home last night.

Police say he was being chased by a man wearing a white jersey and an orange reflector vest.
The suspect opened fire on Blackwell, hitting him several times.
The gunman then ran off.

Blackwell was an orderly employed with the South West Regional Health Authority.

Blackwell’s mother is a police officer attached to the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 3.

Investigations are continuing.
