Six thousand dollars in coins was stolen from the parish of Mount St Benedict in St Augustine.
Around 6am on Wednesday, Father Pereira discovered the doors of the finance count room open and the area ransacked.
On further checks, he discovered that the money, which was placed in two large bottles, was missing.
