Steps are being taken to ensure the residents of Morne Diablo have a regular supply of water.
The assurance comes from Leader of Government Business in the Senate on Monday, Dr Amery Browne.
He was at the time responding to a question posed to the Public Utilities Minister from the Opposition which wanted to know in light of the recent WASA water trucking scam unearthed in the rural community, what steps will be taken to rectify the situation and ensure residents receive an uninterrupted water supply.
In response, the Senate was told the community benefited from a water supply from a fleet of trucks from the utility free of charge.
It was also revealed under the community water improvement programme a pipeline project is also taking place and is at an advanced stage of implementation.
