The Coronavirus pandemic had constrained individuals to remain indoors and somewhat put their sex lifestyles on pause, however, recent reports have claimed that condom sales have ascended throughout the most recent three months as Covid restrictions and social distancing measures ease around the world, as per Reckitt Benckiser, producer of health, hygiene and nutrition products.

“Over time, we would expect this recovery to be replicated in other markets where lockdowns have led to temporarily reduced demand,” according to the company’s latest earnings report.

Demand for condoms is especially strong in China and parts of the US and Europe where coronavirus infection rates have declined, restrictions have eased and “anxiety” about the pandemic has lessened, Reckitt executives told analysts on a Wednesday earnings call.

It’s a serious distinction contrasted with before in the pandemic when the thing wasn’t as sought after because of social distancing measures.

“Our Sexual Wellbeing segment improved in the second half of the year as social distancing restrictions related to COVID-19 eased,” Reckitt CEO Laxman Narasimhan said in the company’s annual report.

Narasimhan recently said condom deals dropped inside most business sectors last March when a significant part of the world was under lockdown orders to stem the spread of the infection.
