MoH reports over 500 Covid infections 2nd day in a row

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has reported over 500 COVID-19 infections for the second consecutive day.
According to its daily clinical update, the MoH disclosed that 509 people are newly infected.
The Ministry also announced 43 new cases of the Delta variant of concern marking 199 in total. Sixteen of the patients are male and 27 are female, one of whom is pregnant.
Besides, 36 of them had no history of travel while seven are minors who came into contact with asymptomatic or confirmed positive relatives.

Moreover, 12 individuals have passed away as fatalities have risen to 1,818. The persons were four elderly males, seven elderly females and one middle-aged male. Seven of them had multiple comorbidities including diabetes, hypertension, cancer, arthritis and heart disease. Three persons had one comorbidity (hypertension, lung disease, cancer) and two had none.
