Minor pipeline oil leak in South Oropouche repaired says Heritage

A minor oil leak in the vicinity of a 12” Trunk pipeline in the New Cut Channel area, South Oropouche, Woodland, has been successfully repaired.

In a statement, Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) said the affected pipeline was repaired on Thursday within hours of notification and returned to service at 10:10pm that evening.

It added clean-up operations are near completion.

The Heritage said its Emergency Response Team continues to closely monitor the impacted area, with no further leaks being observed.

It further confirmed that there have been no reports of any impacts to residents and no injuries to wildlife resulting from the spill.
